The divers assisted in the relocated the 4 cables from their floating position above the underwater trench to rest on the barge as directed on the 12th October 2006. Two 65mm cables and the 40mm pilot cable were bundled together, secured to the lifting frame for the first 7 to 9m and floats were attached to the rest of the cable floating in the water.

At high tide the cable bundle was slowly directed towards the barge allowing for the floating cable to slowly follow the lifting frame as it was maneuvered onto the barge. The cables were stopped in position on the barge with a hold back line. Energy Australia was able to separate the cables and secure all cables as required onto the barge floating in Homebush Bay.

The unidentified 4th cable was secured to the barge away from the other cables. The divers removed all black cable floats and secured large red floats on the cable bundle to assist with cable support in the tidal area.

On the 13th October 2006 the cables were jetted into the seabed to lay 500mm below the mud line the cables have been marked with small white pimple floats for cable position identification. The divers carried out decontamination of all diving equipment and plant at site as required.
